STUNNING ANTIQUE FRENCH MARRIAGE CASKET

French late 19th century marriage presentoir in its original condition.
Inside the shaped glass casket with front opening door is a lovely example of the French custom of
displaying on its red velvet buttoned cushion items for the wedding trousseau,
and later kept as a memento of that special day.
The presentoir sits inside the box and is made of gilded toleware leaves and flowers,
a mirror to the front and at the top is a bird carrying a garland of roses to signify love.
This example still has the minature figures of a bride and groom.
