ENORMOUS ANTIQUE FRENCH PAINTED HENRI II STYLE MIRROR c1900

Enormous antique French mirror dating from around 1900 in the Henri II style.
The frame has been painted in grey, lightly distressed and given a soft wax finish.
The mirror was probably placed over a fireplace in a large house or chateau and could stand
on the floor or be hung on a wall. There is decorative carving to the top featuring
a shield and scrolls with finials on each corner. There are two reeded columns either side of the
original bevelled glass mirror which is in excellent condition with a few minor
speckles as shown. The frame is in excellent condition with only a few minor knocks
in keeping with its age. As with all our wooden items we have treated the frame with a
woodworm preventative as a matter of course.
