FRENCH ANTIQUE PAINTED ARMOIRE / DISPLAY CABINET - c.1900
This French antique single armoire dates from around c.1900.
Painted in Farrow and Ball 'Hardwick Whtie' with the interior in 'Skimming Stone' the exterior
has been lightly distressed and given a dark wax finish.
This is stylish armoire with turned columns either side of the door which has an ornate metal lock.
The door is currently open and could be used as a bookcase / display cabinet.
The door could be fitted with chickenwire or glazed if preferred - please ask for details.
The interior is fitted with adjustable shelving and a useful drawer to the base with decorative brass handle.
The armoire has
been fully treated with a woodworm preventative
as a matter of course and is in excellent strong and sturdy condition
with minor
knocks and bumps in keeping with its age.
It measures 238cms tall (including the removeable crest) x 108cms wide
x 60.5cms deep externally and 42cms internally
