WONDERFUL QUALITY FRENCH ANTIQUE PAINTED ARMOIRE
This wonderful quality French antique single door armoire dates from around c.1900.
Painted in Farrow and Ball 'House White' the armoire can be lightly distressed and given clear a wax finish.
This is a beautiful quality armoire with superb detail throughout
featuring
a shaped top with wonderfully carved crest with sheild, laurel leaves and swags of flowers.
There is further decorative carving either side of the original shaped bevelled
glass door.
The handle is as we found it and is very pretty however could be replaced with a traditional lock if preferred.
The mirror is in superb condition with only minor speckles here and there.
The interior is currently with shelves and could have hanging rails fitted from
front to back inclusive in the price. There is a useful drawer with brass handle to the base.
The armoire has
been fully treated with a woodworm preventative
as a matter of course and is in excellent strong and sturdy condition
with minor
knocks and bumps in keeping with its age.
It measures 257cms tall x 110cms wide x 54cms deep externally and 39cms internally
