STUNNING QUALITY LOUIS XVI STYLE DOUBLE BED WITH ORIGINAL SILK UPHOLSTERY c.1900

This wonderful quality antique French Louis XVI style custom double bed is a rare find in its original condition.
Superbly carved in a cream painted 'as found' finish and gilded wooden frame which is now faded with age.
Featuring beautiful carved swags and finials to the head and foot, flutted columns and legs with stylised gilded flowers.
In the pale pink silk fabric with a delicate flower pattern is in good condition
with some water marks as shown and could easily be re-upholstered - please ask for a competitive quote.
The bed is in excellent strong and study condition and has been treated with
a woodworm preventative as a matter of course. With minor knocks and bumps in keeping with age c.1900.

Will require a double 135cm x 190cm mattress - which we can supply.
Height of head : 144cm tall. Height of foot : 97cm tall (to the top of the finials).
