RARE ANTIQUE FRENCH DECORATED METAL 'LIT BATEAU' c1870

This gorgeous Antique French decorated metal 'Lit Bateau' daybed is a rare find.
In lovely original 'as found' condition, now naturally distressed with age.
The bed has cast floral decoration to each side and legs - one side of which is painted
in pale pink and green. The front features a wonderful cast cherub. The bed has a curved roll top and
is complete with castors.In strong and sturdy condition with a few minor knocks and bumps
and some minor rust spots in keeping with age c.1870.
Would be ideal for use as a sofa in a conservatory or hallway.

Will require a custom mattress - which we can supply.
Measures 190cms long x 81cms wide.
