DECORATIVE ANTIQUE FRENCH CARVED DOUBLE BED

This decorative French antique carved double bed dates from around 1900.
In solid wood, the bed has been painted in Farrow and Ball 'White Tie' and has been given a soft wax finish.
The headboard features a superbly carved removable pediment with a crest featuring a jardinier with flowers and carved into the headboard below a pair of birds. The footboard also features carved daisys, leaves and scrolls,
there is a central plaque with a carved profile of a ladys face. There are columns to the bed with finials to the headboard.
The bed has been fully treated with a woodworm preventative as a matter of course and is in
strong and sturdy condition with just a few minor knocks and bumps in keeping with its age c1900.

The bed will take a standard double mattress which is 4ft 6 x 6ft 3 (135cms x 190cms).
