Fabulous Antique French Fabric Covered Box Files & Stand

This fabulous 'Tiroirs de Cartonnier' is a rare French find, consisting of an 'as found' cream
painted wooden stand which is strong and sturdy, with four fabric covered box inserts, two of which
still retain their original labels - cols (collars) and voilettes (veils) and both of which still
contain various antique collars and cuffs in handsewn linen and handmade lace and a quantity
of black veil lace, which I am offering to keep together in their boxes.

The original fabric of the boxes is now wonderfully aged and faded but with a still
visible pattern of ribbons and roses which and though a little torn in places as shown, with
some missing fabric where a label would have been, this does not detract from
the overall appearance and each drawer retains its original delicate ropetwist brass handle.

Measurements 91cms tall x 52.5cms wide x 22cms deep.
Each box drawer measures 14cms tall.
